Beloved dog still missing

A Shih Tzu cross that went missing in Bethlehem after a fireworks display earlier this month still has not returned home.

Harry was visiting Sharon and Gary Robertson's son's home in Miles Lane to celebrate their grandson's 13th birthday when he ran off after a fireworks display at Bethlehem College on September 16.

'We still have not found him. Our hearts are broken and we really want him home,” says Sharon.

'While Harry does know Miles Lane, he doesn't know Tauranga at all. He will be very scared and frightened.

'We have put out over 2000 flyers and talked to 100's of people. We have bombarded social media - Paw Justice Facebook have had over 597 shares about Harry.” Sharon says there have been a few possible sightings but nothing concrete or for certain it is him.

Sharon is appealing for any information that may lead them to find Harry.

'We have had some lovely people calling to help look for him and also had a sick person send a text saying he had been used as dog fighting bait which absolutely shocked us and really distressed us.

'We have seen the best in people and experienced the worst as well. The reward we are offering is large enough that we thought we would find him in no time but unfortunately Harry is timid, so is hiding and doing this very well.”

There have been possible sightings of Harry along the Judea boardwalk, Churchill Road, Beaumaris Boulevard, Carmichael Street, Furniss Lane and possibly Kulim Park but not positive sightings.

Sharon says there is no possibility of him finding his way home as he lives in Cambridge.

this is such a distressing story. For most people a pet is part of the family, and they will be distraught. I pray for a good outcome.

So sad

This story really upsets me. I have looked for Harry. Someone must have him and I so hope he gets back home. I couldn't bear to think of this happening to my dog.
