This year visitors will also be treated to specialist seminars, a cooking theatre, renovation court, children's zone, as well as have access to hundreds of experts who'll advise punters on everything from kitchens and bathrooms to wallpaper, paint, designer furniture, floral art and more.

'The Waikato Home & Garden Show is the perfect opportunity for all home enthusiasts to explore all the latest ideas, trends and innovations in building, renovating, decorating and landscaping,” says North Port Events chief executive officer Dona White.

This year's show will also play host to the New Zealand Landscape Design Awards and the New Zealand Interior Design Awards.

The theme for the 2016 Landscape Awards is ‘Café Garden Bar' and Rotorua's Marcus Baird is one of four landscapers who've created a 10x6 metre landscaped garden that are vying for this year's title.

While the Interior Design Awards will see Mount Maunganui's Twill Interior Design go head-to head against four others in a challenge that will see them all be given a 4m x 5m space to decorate and style under the theme ‘My Dream Space'.

An enticing mix of cafes, bars, well-known wineries and international food will also be available throughout the Claudelands Events Centre's pavilions.
