UPDATED: A pig hunter missing in the Taupo area has been located.
The 35-year-old has been transported by helicopter to Rotorua Hospital with back and abdominal injuries.

He had earlier called emergency services to say he had fallen around 25m down a bank at Marotiri.
"Police would like to extend their thanks to the LandSAR volunteers who assisted in the search," says a statement from police.
"The volunteers have taken time off work and battled thick bush and rough terrain in their efforts to locate the man."

Rescue teams are searching for a pig hunter missing in the Bay of Plenty.
'Emergency services have spoken to the man on his cellphone and are in process of searching for the 35-year-old,” says a statement from police.
'He said he had fallen 25 metres down a bank at Marotiri. He estimated he was located about 300 metres from a bush line.”
Two of the man's dogs are also missing.
Teams are looking for him on foot and a helicopter is on standby.
