Disappearance out of character

Police searching for a missing Waikato woman say her disappearance is out of character.

Kim Louise Richmond was last seen on Monday when she left her home in a silver coloured 2014 Ford Ranger, registration number HKD553.

'It's believed Ms Richmond headed in a southerly direction from her Wharepapa South farm,” police say in a statement released appealing for any information about her whereabouts.

'Police would like to hear from Ms Richmond or anyone who knows her whereabouts.”

She is 42-years-old and described as being of thin build, about 162 cm tall with an olive complexion and dark hair.


Kim was last seen in a Ford Ranger, similar to the one pictured.

Kim has a hearing disability and at the time of her disappearance she was wearing a Highlanders rugby jersey, blue jeans, brown leather jacket and brown leather boots.

Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Patterson of the Waikato West CIB says the disappearance appears to be out of character and police are concerned for her wellbeing.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ms Richmond is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Paul Van Der ZEE of the Te Awamutu CIB on 07 8720100.
