An 18-month-old is being treated in Tauranga Hospital after being flown there via rescue helicopter last night.
The Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter flew to Matakana Island to help treat the infant who was having breathing difficulties due to a medical condition.
Helicopter medical crew treated and stabilised the local girl before transporting her along with her mother to Tauranga Hospital.
