Update 1.24pm: Police have arrested a man in Matapihi, Tauranga after a domestic incident which armed police attended.
A police media spokesperson says police were called to a domestic incident on Waikari Road about 11.50am and a man was arrested without an incident.

SunLive understands the man was arrested after leaving the scene of the incident.
Earlier: Reports are coming in of armed police rushing to a domestic incident in Mataphi, Tauranga where reports of a man carrying a gun.
