Lotto players win $250,000

As some Kiwis look forward to hitting the ski slopes this weekend, four lucky Lotto players from Kawakawa, Auckland, Christchurch and Rolleston will be sliding into a windfall of their own after winning $250,000 each with Lotto First Division live Lotto draw.

The winning tickets were sold at Hammer Hardware Kawakawa in Kawakawa, Glen Innes Dairy and Lotto in Auckland, Cosy Nook Dairy in Christchurch and Rolleston New World in Rolleston.

Powerball was not struck and has rolled over to Wednesday night, where the jackpot will be $27 million. This is the largest Powerball jackpot since September 2013, when an Auckland man won $33 million with Powerball First Division.

The Must Be Won Strike jackpot of $800,000 was shared by 119 players around the country who each take home $8,899.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker app.
