Police have confirmed the motorcyclist who died following a two-vehicle crash at Okauia near Matamata on Sunday was from Tauranga.
Emergency services attended the scene on Old Te Aroha Road, two-and-a-half kilometres from State Highway 24, at about 3.30pm.

Paramedics performed CPR on the rider, who died at the scene, says Northern fire communications shift manager Scott Osmond.
The Old Te Aroha road is a popular riding loop for motorcyclists from both the Bay of Plenty and the Waikato.
Police say the Tauranga motorcyclist and one car were involved in the incident.
The Serious Crash Unit's is currently investigating the fatal crash and their enquires are still ongoing.
