Village radio stars being recruited

You won't become a national media celebrity overnight.

But you will have a committed local fan base – sometimes as many as 400 different listeners a month. You will be famous in your own backyard of Tauranga.

The Village Radio and Museum is talent hunting. It needs voices – warm, chocolate smooth 'radio” speaking voices. Announcers in other words. Both ladies and men, no age barrier, with a love of music.

Village Radio broadcasts daily from the Historic Village. And candidates would need to give six to eight hours a month and doing four hour shifts either morning or afternoon.

Even the unexperienced are welcome to pitch because training would be given in both studio operation and presentation.

The station boasts an impressive record collection – more than 10,000 records dating from the 1920s through the 1990s – more than 110,000 tracks. Something in there for everyone.
