Fine Mother’s Day in the Bay

The MetService is predicting some drizzle today before the fine weather takes hold for the weekend.

Heavy rain affected the Wellington region on Thursday morning, where a severe weather warning had been in place, easing in the afternoon.

A ridge of high pressure is expected to move onto the country this weekend, bringing mainly fine weather. However, the remnants of the front will still bring a few showers to parts of the North Island.

The MetService's five day forecast is predicting today to be mostly cloudy with drizzle at times in Tauranga today.

Tomorrow is looking fine, with fine weather also forecast for Sunday.

Daily highs are expected to sit around the 22 degree mark with overnight lows of 12-14 degrees for the next few days.
