Western Bay of Plenty junior rugby officer Brett Johnson says the kids have had a great time and the trainers have been great.

'We have Steamers and academy players that have given up their time. They have been really engaging the children and they have had a tournament with the Steamers and academy players.

'They have also had rippa tournaments against different age groups. We had a haka competitions today, and that was outstanding.”

Brett says children are put through their training paces in the morning, and then the programme rolls on with other fun stuff to keep the kids entertained.

'It's a three day programme and runs in the first week of term 1. Tomorrow is the last day of the holiday programme.”
