Games will be played on Sunday 6 March at 3pm, then Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (7, 9 and 10 March) at 6pm, according to the Tauranga Hockey Centre Facebook page.

After hosting Malaysia in the four-test series at Blake Park in Tauranga, the team heads to Auckland for four games against Korea at Lloyd Elsmore Park in Auckland from March 16-20.

The team will be named later this month.

The Bay City Tour is the first international action for the Black Sticks Men since the Oceania Cup in October, where they finished runners up behind Australia.

Hockey NZ sees the series serving as important preparation for April's Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia, which New Zealand head into as defending champions and on the hunt for back to back titles.

Tickets will go on sale next week from just $5 with discounted family tickets and series passes also available.

So we have the association asking for $600.000 from the ratepayers to put in a third turf etc etc . The sport is growing, they are hosting an international team and will be charging $5.00. Surely these events are the boost the association should be using to swell the coffers instead of asking ratepayers to provide their funding.
