Swimmers and beachgoers are warned about the presence of two large sharks spotted off Peka Peka Beach and Waikanae Beach near Wellington.
The sharks were spotted by a Heliworks Helicopter working in the area said Inspector John Spence of the Police Central Communications Centre.
"We are warning people to stay away out of the sea at this time," says Inspector Spence.
