The NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists that contractors will be carrying out pavement repairs at two sites on State Highway 29 tonight.

Repairs will be carried out at the Tauriko roundabout in The Lakes, as well as along a 500m section either side of the Ruahihi Stream Bridge in the Lower Kaimai.

The two repair works will begin at 8pm and both are expected to be completed by midnight.

Traffic at the Tauriko roundabout traffic will be restricted to a single lane and there will be a 30k/hr speed restriction in place.

There will also be a 30km/h speed restriction plus stop/go traffic control in place while repairs are carried out near the Ruahihi Stream Bridge.

The NZTA is asking motorists for their patience and to allow an extra few minutes when travelling through the area.
