Update 6.11pm: State Highway 29 is now open after a truck fire.
Authorities are advising motorist that the Rapurapu road on the Waikato side of SH29 has now been cleared of all debri after the road was closed due to a truck fire.
Earlier:
A truck fire near Rapurapu road on the Waikato side of SH29 has closed the highway while emergency services deal with the event.
The truck is believed to have rolled and caught fire. The highway is closed. There is no information as to how long it will be before one way traffic is re-instated.
