Greerton Fire Brigade senior station officer Neil Brown says it was a small fire in a room at the back of a garage on a rural lifestyle property.

'It was just a very minor one for us really,” says Neil.

'The occupants had put it out before we arrived.

'Thanks to a good smoke alarm it pretty much saved the property from a whole lot more damage.”
