Papamoa star named in NZ squad

Papamoa surf life saver Natalie Peat is set to make a splash after being called up to represent New Zealand at the European pool rescue competition.

Natalie is one of eight athletes named in the squad set to take part in the Orange Cup and the German Cup.

The Orange Cup, formally known as the BeNe Cup, will be held from November 14-15 at the Pieter van den Hoogenband Swimming Stadium in Eindhoven, Holland.

The venue is the official pool venue for the 2016 Lifesaving World Championships. The German Cup will then be held in Warendorf, Germany from November 20-21.

The team will depart on November 12, with coach Steven Ferguson and team manager Mark Weatherall, before returning to New Zealand on November 24.
