On Friday October 2, 2015, peacefully at home with his family, aged 87. Dearly loved husband for 66 years of Shirley. Loved father and father inlaw of Barry and Dianne, Morris and Shannon (Taupo), Ann Cooke (Auckland), Frank (dec), Kaye and Ian Bell. Treasured ‘Pa' of Julie and George, Paula and Nic, Steven and Julie, Vincent and Carissa; Rohan and Sarah, Simon and Andrea, Emma and Ray, Rachel and Brett, John and Aimee. Special ‘Pa' to his great grandchildren; Reyce, Holly, Wil, Joshua, Ayla, Belle, Sophie, Alexandra, Ashton, Stella and Liam.

A celebration of John's life will be held in the chapel of Willetts Funeral Services Ltd, 21 King Street, Whakatane on Tuesday October 6, at 2pm followed by a private cremation.
