Steamers ready for Waikato clash

The Steamers team ready to do battle at Tauranga Domain tomorrow for their ITM Cup showdown has been named.

The team will return to the domain to play Waikato in what head coach Clayton McMillan expects to be a fantastic afternoon of rugby.


The Steamers are ready for their game against the Mooloos at Tauranga Stadium tomorrow.

'The team is hugely excited about the game against Waikato. They are our arch rivals who looked strong in their latest outing.

'All games in this competition are tough, be these are the types of matches that can define you as a team. Each individual will need to stand and deliver in order to get a positive result.” Culum Retallick and Carl Axtens will co-captain the Steamers team, kicking off at 2.35pm at Tauranga Domain.

Tickets are available online for all Steamers ITM Cup home games at www.boprugby.co.nz. Alternatively tickets can be purchased from Baycourt Ticketek. Gates will open at 11.45am.
