Three vehicles have crashed on Cameron Road in Tauranga, causing minor delays.
Emergency services are currently at the scene of the crash, near Gilmours wholesalers.
A silver Subaru sustained damage in the crash.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says three vehicles are involved and added "it looks pretty bad".
"The ambulance is at the scene," they say. "It looks like one vehicle has crashed into a station wagon and the station wagon has been shunted into another car.
"The whole front of the station wagon looks to be stoved in."
It is unclear at this stage how the accident happened.
Police are working to clear the scene and motorists are warned to drive carefully in the area and expect delays.

Straight rd 50km . What is wrong with people. I was in Auckland for two days and will drive there any time. . Tga divers are in to much of a hurry and don't concentrate.
