The Mount Maunganui show is part of their eight-stop national tour and The Phoenix Foundation's first outing since the release of their 2013 album Tom's Lunch.

Released this week, Give Up Your Dreams is their sixth studio outing and was self-produced by The Phoenix Foundation. The line-up includes new drummer Chris O'Connor.

The band say this new album is driven by optimistic vibes and an infectious rhythmic sound, which can be seen on the lead single ‘Mountain'.

The Phoenix Foundation is also teaming up with Wellington craft beer makers Garage Project on another venture, to create New Zealand's finest craft draught. More details will be released soon.

The Phoenix Foundation's Give Up Your Dreams Tour will stop in at the Mauao Performing Arts Centre on Saturday, October 3. Tickets will be available through music website Under The Radar.
