Prime Minister John Key is in Tauranga today to open a number of projects.
He will attend the opening of the $455 million Tauranga Eastern Link this lunchtime – but not before unveiling the new Hairy Maclary sculpture park on The Strand.

The Tauranga Eastern Link is one of seven roads of significance in New Zealand.
It boasts seven bridges, a new cycleway, one of the country's biggest roundabouts and a unique, 130m-long pa sculpture.
During John's visit to the city, he is also expected to meet the Bay Twisters Cheerleading Squad.
He will also take a trip to Tauranga Intermediate before heading back to Wellington.

It really is time for NZ to provide the PM with a Gulfstream jet to aid his busy schedule! If we can afford to spend eleven million on a NY apartment and on a Saudi sheep farm then a personal jet should not be a problem?
