Gull brews up lower fuel prices

Motorists fuelling up at Gull this month have been treated to a limited edition 98 Octane biofuel, with DB Export Brewtroleum temporarily taking the place of Gull Force 10 during July.

The high performance fuel is identical in makeup to Gull Force 10 apart from one factor; the originating source of the ethanol is from beer production rather than dairy.

With the supply of DB Export Brewtroleum expected to last just two more weeks, Gull has dropped prices at pumps for a limited time to give all Kiwis the opportunity to power their cars with the fuel.

Gull has also reduced prices across all fuel grades so that everyone can get further for less. Motorists will benefit from the savings of 10c per litre from 7am on today until 12pm tomorrow.

'For anyone who hasn't yet tried DB Export Brewtroleum, this is a great opportunity to do so and take advantage of great savings at the same time,” says Dave Bodger, General Manager of Gull New Zealand.

'Rest assured that this biofuel is made to the same high standard as our Gull Force 10 which, once Brewtroleum runs dry, will be back to keep Kiwis driving greener.

'We've been making biofuels since 2007 and are always keen to give a hand to people interested in producing cleaner fuel. So, when the guys over at DB Export came to us with the idea to make bioethanol using a natural by-product leftover from brewing DB Export, of course we were more than happy to help.”

DB Export Brewtroleum will be no higher than $2.099 per litre at sites where Gull controls the price, with Regular 91 no higher than $1.949, and $1.189 for Diesel.
