Whether it be hockey, rugby, netball or football, most families are on the sideline cheering this morning.

Children of all ages are hitting the fields and courts to take part in their chosen sport, and their parents or other family members are right along with them.

Rugby, hockey, netball or football, there is a sport of any kind taking place this morning around Tauranga and the wider Western Bay of Plenty.

SunLive went along to Blake Park this morning to catch the action of rugby and hockey.

With parents supporting their children on the sideline and children running in all directions, the park is a hive of activity.
