The supreme award went to New World Greenmeadows in Napier for its potato-top pie.
A panel of 20 experts, including New Zealand chef Martin Bosley and chief judge Tim Aspinall, decided the winners for this year's awards.

Special congrats to all the asian names amongst the winners, they have certainly embraced our pie culture. Will Andrew Little and his mates be calling for them to be banned from NZ!
Humble Pie Eater - Andrew LITTLE
Posted on 22-07-2015 17:12 | By carpedeum
Well perhaps these award winners could each send one pie to Andrew LITTLE and see if he knows how to eat HUMBLE PIE after his seemingy racist comments. So many of these fine business people producing top class pies may be excluded under his Party's suggested Policy ???
Great Asian Bake-Off

No one complaining about all the Asians cooking up great pies for us, not like the property market. Let's embrace their enthusiasm and hard work. Congratulations to all.
Thank you ..

Get your story right

I am no fan of Andrew Little but he is not saying ban Asians, never has said this. He is saying foreign buyers be they Chinese, German or whatever are having a negative effect on pricing. It just so happens it is Chinese who are prominent amongst the buyers, we would have the same conversation if they were Russians or Martians.
