P-lab bust in Te Puna

A man is facing methamphetamine charges after police uncovered a P-lab in Te Puna overnight.

The 43-year-old man was arrested and will appear in Tauranga District Court today facing one charge of possession of methamphetamine.

He is also facing one count of possession of pre-cursor materials.

The arrest comes after Western Bay of Plenty Police, assisted by Rotorua Armed Offender's Squad, executed a search warrant at a rural property in Te Puna in the early hours of this morning, says Bay of plenty Police communications manager Kim Perks.

'Police say a suspected clandestine methamphetamine lab was located at the property. As the matter is before the court no further comment will be made.”
