Inspiring Kiwis receive $5K grant

Hard work and dedication to creating small changes with big impact has paid off for 10 Kiwis thanks to Energizer New Zealand.

The top entries into Energizer's Power of Positive Energy project have been handpicked and each one rewarded with a $5,000 grant to help them spread their positive energy further.

Amy Revell, picture here with Jessica Rouse, Sophie Rouse, Bella Revell and Liam Revell, spends her spare time providing good quality clothing to families.

Bay of Plenty's Andy Galbraith is one of 10 people to receive a grant with his The Clothing Project Documentary.

Started in 2012 and supported by Ngati Awa, Plunket and other organisations – The Clothing Project sources good quality second-hand clothes for newborn babies up to children aged 12, which are packaged up and given to families in need.

The Energizer's Power of Positive Energy project, launched in May, sought to find New Zealanders with a passion for innovation, waste minimisation or community improvement and give them a helping hand to being, continue, or expand their initiative.

'At Energizer we will always embrace a challenge, and we want Kiwis to also feel empowered to take on those things that may seem daunting at first but that will help bring about positive changes in the lives of their friends, families and communities,” says brand manager Rafael Laguda.

'We are delighted the grants awarded today will assist these worthy recipients in meeting their goals.”
