We used to call that stealing? I hope they get more than a slap on the wrist.... a real kick up the bum would be a good thing, a bit of time in custody might help them re-thing their ways? One can hope.... but I wont be holding my breath....

Sorry, but

it WILL be a wet bus ticket - and then ??? at it again.... Oh he will be at it again. 3 months in a military prison would sort him out for life.

Hope there is justice

Several years ago we were burgalled by a 15 year old who stole 5 cars (including ours) and burgalled 30 houses. We went to the Family Court hearing, usual scenario, Father an alcoholic who beat up his family. This boy was sent to Great Barrier Island for a "Life Skills" course. We, the victims, were left wrangling with our insurers. About a year later we had a letter from the Government saying we would be pleased to know that this Youth had done so well, they were sending him to Canada to represent NZ at some Youth convention, all at the taxpayers expense. We found the whole thing incredulous.

Its just a phase.
