The fourth debutant in the squad is Raglan's Taylor Hutchison.

They join a wealth of experienced surfers between their eight team mates, with the likes of Gisborne's Korbin Hutchings and Jasmine Smith having represented New Zealand on three previous occasions.

Smith was the top-ranked Kiwi girl at the 2014 World Junior Championship in Ecuador with a ninth placing in the Under-18 Girls' Division.

She was joined by Arataki's Kehu Butler, in his second outing with the team placing seventh in the Under-16 Division.

Butler will contest the same age group division in 2015 and will again be eligible to contest the division the following year.

His long-time friend, Kaya Horne, will debut at the age of 14 - the youngest surfer in the 2015 team.

At the other end of the age group spectrum, newcomers Chuter and Hutchison who will contest the Under-18 Boys' Division for the first time.

Both spend the majority of their time surfing at Raglan, with Chuter, who hails from the Bay of Plenty, attending the Raglan Surfing Academy.

Also new to the team is Ensor, contesting the Under-16 Girls' Division.

Ensor was a reserve for the team in 2014 and this year will join fellow Mount Maunganui surfer Elin Tawharu, who will represent New Zealand for the second time.

Christchurch's Harrison Whiteside makes a return to the New Zealand Team in the Under-18 Boys' Division after being selected in 2013.

The team finished tenth at the 2014 ISA World Championship, which was won by Hawaii ahead of France in second and Australia in third.

The World Junior Surfing Championships is an annual event, established in 2003. New Zealand has competed at the event since its inception, as well as the World Grommet Titles as it was formerly known.

Prior to the main event, the team will meet in South Africa to contest the annually run ‘SANZ' Trophy, held between the two teams. South Africa regained the trophy from New Zealand in 2014.

The two teams will fine tune their competitive strategies only days out from the main event.
