Police have taken a 53-year-old man has been taken into custody following this morning's incident in Camrose Place, Glenfield.

The cordons in the area have now been lifted and the Armed Offenders Squad has been stood down.

The man who was allegedly assaulted has been taken to the North Shore Hospital for a precautionary checkup.

Police are now speaking with the man arrested at the address and will now look to establish further exactly what occurred this morning.

At this stage Police are not able to comment on any charges but a further update will be provided when that information is known.
