SunLive Competition

Two men, two dresses, two million dollars… it just might work!

Leading Ladies is Detour Theatre’s new side-splitting comedy of mistaken identity and harebrained schemes hits the Tauranga stage on November 10.

The story follows two down-on-their-luck actors who decide to impersonate the long lost nephews of a millionairess only to find that they are not nephews but nieces! It’s going to take the performance of their lives, and some very large dresses, to steal the fortune.

The all local cast is lead by Dylan Frewin and Liam Hagan, who were both recently lead actors in Tauranga Musical Theatre’s production of Cabaret.

“I’m excited to have these two very talented and experienced young actors in the production”, says director Kim Williamson.

“They are bringing the house down with their comic characters and I don’t think I have ever seen two men look so ridiculous in dresses. The show is literally a laugh a minute”.

Leading Ladies runs November 10-27 at Detour Theatre located in the Historic Village. Tickets and show information are available at Baycourt Ticket direct phone 07 577 7188.
