Flying house in Gate Pa + VIDEO

A relocateable house was lifted by crane onto a rear section at Gate Pa yesterday. It was too wide to fit down the drive.

The house is lifted into its new location.
Chris Robertson and Darryl Avery sub divided their section so they could install the additional building.
The McLeod’s crane arrived last night, says Chris. The house on the House Transporters Ltd trailer arrived sometime in the early hours of Thursday morning.
“We woke up at 5am and it was there,” says Chris. “We didn’t hear a thing.”
The house, which was a former office of the Budget Timber Mill in the Mount, will be rental accommodation says Chris.
