Papamoa's next top model

A six month old Persian Chinchilla from Papamoa, called Ewok, is a finalist in New Zealand's Next Top Cat Model competition.
"He is a spoiled brat but is extremely loveable," says his owner Nee Mackenzie.

Ewok is hoping to become New Zealand's Next Top Cat Model.

"Ewok thinks he is the alpha male in the house even though he is the only cat at home. He loves to play hide and seek. He hides under the couch and sticks out his paws. He's always ready to play and he loves to follow us around the house as well."
New Zealand's Next Top Cat Model is a national SPCA fundraiser. Ewok is the only Bay of Plenty cat in the competition. The grand prize includes a year's supply of dried cat food.
"If he wins this, we will auction off the cat food to raise money for SPCA Tauranga."
Voting is open until August 12 and the winner will be announced on August 13. To vote for Ewok and donate to the SPCA, visit http://topcatmodel.co.nz/finalist_ewok.html
