Done the homework?

Has the YMCA done their homework on this so-called joint venture with Mr Mitchell? I was interested to read Mr Clement’s comments when he said that the idea was born out by the need of the YMCA to get funds for its activities.
The YMCA chief executive Amy Thaler admitted the organisation did not have the $20,000 to $30,000  needed for their share of the cost and would need to apply to the Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust for the funds. I then read the report in The Weekend Sun Where Sands Bar managing director Clayton Mitchell says it will cost $120,000 to set up the bar and that he is expecting to take a loss this year if the bar is permitted. Where does the YMCA expect to make funds for their activities on a venture which the person running it already expects to make a loss?
He also stated that he made a loss of $40,000 last year but still wants to run a loss making venture this year.
