Kiwi dominate in BMX competition

Tauranga BMX Club members Kieran Ngatai, Richard Levis and Shania Rawson returned from the Trans-Tasman Mighty 11 test this week after winning the competition and bringing home both of the trophies.
The trio were selected for the Mighty 11 team, which is made up of the best 11 year olds in the country earlier in the year for the competition in Casino, New South Wales June 12 and 13.

Kieran Ngatai, Richard Levis and Shania Rawson have returned from Australia with both trophies in the Trans-Tasman Mighty 11 test.

Technical coach Ash Rawson says not only did Tauranga BMX Club get three riders into the team, they got both team captains.
“It’s a huge thing coming back with two Trans-Tasman trophies.”
Ash says BMX is normally an individual sport, however the team was really well balanced and worked together as a whole to create space for the sprinters.
“The Scholarship Girls Mighty 11 Team absolutely dominated their Australian rivals.”
Shania won five of the six events she competed in.
“We almost doubled their points,” says Scholarship Girls Mighty 11 Team captain Shania.

How much do you value Fathers' Day?

Heaps, it's important to celebrate dads!
Not really, it's just another greeting card holiday.
As long as it rates behind Mothers' Day I'm happy.
It's tops - make it a public holiday!
I'm not bothered by Fathers' Day.
