Gold award for Papamoa resort

Papamoa Beach Top 10 Holiday Resort has followed up its Qualmark New Zealand 5 Star Holiday Park rating in October 2009 by achieving gold Qualmark Green Enviro-rating.
The five key assessment areas for the Qualmark Green Enviro-ratings are energy efficiency, waste reduction, water management, and involvement in conservation and community activities.

Operators must provide evidence that they have processes and programmes in place to monitor and improve performance across these areas. The rankings are on top of the set of minimum requirements for responsible tourism operations that form part of every Qualmark quality assessment.
The result was extremely pleasing for Papamoa Beach Top 10 manager Rebecca Crosby and her staff.
“We’ve put a lot of hard work into achieving our sustainability goals and it’s great to be recognised for our efforts,” says Rebecca.
