Assault charge for mental health worker

A 45 year old Tauranga man employed as a mental health worker was arrested at 9.55am on Monday and charged with assault with a blunt instrument. He will appear in Tauranga District Court on Thursday.

At 12.30pm, Monday, a 35 year old Hairini man was arrested and charged with shoplifting at the Pak ‘n Save on Cameron Road.

Tauranga police arrested a 27 year old man employed as a fisherman on Monday at 7.35pm and charged him with wilful damage. He is due to appear in Tauranga District Court on Thursday.
