Choosing your favourites
Graham Clark & Russell Watkins - Political bloggers
Two experienced defenders of political freedom take on the establishment through the blogospere. ‘Liberty requires eternal vigilance’.

A friend of mine is doing a ‘name your favourite books’ segment on his blog. It got me thinking about mine – below are some of the ones that I remember, dozens I could have mentioned, but these ones stand out today. In (brackets) is my very brief overview.  Feel free to list yours in the comments section.

The Ominous Parallel – Leonard Peikoff (revealing)
Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology – Leonard Peikoff (clarity)
The Virtue of Selfishness – Ayn Rand (powerful)
Atlas Shrugged – Ayn Rand (prophetic)
Nancy Wake – Peter Fitzsimmons (heroic)
The History Of NZ – Michael King (thorough)
WW2 – Winston Churchill    (brilliant)
Parliament of Whores – P.J. O’Rourke (humorously serious)
Libertarianism a Primer – David Boaz (a lesson in delivery)
Golda Meir – Autobiography (example of focus)
Mao – Jung Chang and Jon Halliday (complete evil bastard)
Economics In One Easy Lesson – Henry Hazlett (demystifying)
Free to Choose – Milton & Rose Freidman (invigorating)
God Is Not Great…Why Religion Poisons Everything – Christopher Hitchens (Funny, lucid, and inarguable)
